Pulse Health Screening is able to offer you Hair Mineral Analysis from a world class laboratory which has specialised in this field since 1984.

Your sample is sent to the laboratory in the US and you will receive a comprehensive report 2 - 3 weeks later.  Your report will include:

·
Your body's level of nutrient minerals and toxic metals to mineral ratios

·
A list of recommended foods - and those to avoid

·
Food allergy indicators

·
Body chemistry balance analysis with supplement recommendations

·
Metabolic assessment
If you follow the recommendations in your report, you will want to know if there is any change in your body.  A  retest can be arranged a few months later, although you may have noticed physical improvements in your health by then.

Where to obtain your hair sample

Proper collection of the hair sample is extremely important.  The hair to be collected should be clean and you should not use permed, dyed or bleached hair.  The hair should come from several areas of your scalp on the back portion of your head.  You simply part the hair and cut as close to the scalp as possible.  Cut away excess hair from the sample, leaving about one to one and a half inches of the root end.  The total amount of hair needed is about a tablespoon.
Full instructions are given in the hair sample kit which you will be sent.

Your hair contains all the minerals present in your body, including nutritional minerals as well as toxic heavy metals.  Hair Mineral Analysis is a laboratory test that measures this mineral content in the hair.
If we consider that diet is what we consume and nutrition is what we retain, then we can see that discovering what your body needs when it needs it is a valuable tool in staying healthy.  After 30 years of research, hair analysis has emerged as the most practical, non-invasive method of testing for mineral balance in your body.

If you are feeling tired all the time, also known as TATT by your doctor, yet routine blood tests have shown no abnormality, a hair analysis may be able to identify an imbalance or shortage of minerals.  This is because a blood test reports how you are at the time of taking the sample.  If you have just eaten a banana, your test can indicate a high potassium level, even though you may actually need more potassium.  A hair analysis will indicate your overall level of potassium - your actual storage levels over a period of time.  So if a blood test is like a snapshot, a hair analysis is more like a video of your mineral retention.
